Not every application needs the same depth. Use these signals to choose wisely before you spend reviewer days.

Choose a full audit when

• More than one transport leg or port appears in the commercial plan
• The facility letter, draft instrument, and invoices were prepared by different teams
• A prior lodgement was refused or heavily queried in the last twelve months
• Thai and English schedules both bind the transaction

A wording check may suffice when

• The commercial documents are stable and already used on prior identical shipments
• Only the guarantee claim clause changed after legal negotiation
• The bank supplied a short form and asked solely for beneficiary confirmation

Middle path

Letter of credit pre-lodgement review sits between the two: deep on LC fields, light on collateral schedules. Start there if your sailing is inside ten days and the facility relationship is already active.
